How to connect your Course Platform with a custom Domain?

This guide describes how to connect your institutes's domain name with your Course selling platform.

A domain name, is a part of the URL or Web Address that you type into the Search Engine to find your website on the internet.
Example: The URL appears in the address bar of your web browser (for example, Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Safari).

On Spayee, you have the option of using the default Spayee sub-domain. However, if you’re on the Basic plan and up, you can connect to a custom domain or custom sub-domain.

Connect a Custom Domain

The process of connecting custom domain depends on your choice of Domain host. However, the basic steps are as follows:

Purchase a domain from a domain registrar. GoDaddy, Wordpress, BlueHost, etc to name a few.

Go to your "Dashboard", select "SETTINGS", then click on "Domain".

Just below "Your Custom Domain" there is a box. Just enter the personal domain name, then click on "Save".

Login to your host domain's account & edit your nameservers to change your DNS settings.

Create a CNAME record that points your custom domain to your Course platform.

Go back to your "Domains" under "Dashboard", then verify the domain in the Domains section of your school admin. Set the domain as your platform's primary domain.

Please make sure that you do not set your Domain name as your primary domain before you get it verified. This is to ensure zero hassle while logging in & while learners browse for your platform.
