This article describes how to restrict device login limit, download course limit, and enable other important settings for learners.
Once the user signs up into your course, you need to pre-define certain aspects of your course platform to ensure smooth functioning. User Configuration helps you in streamlining the user experience by fixing those aspects beforehand.
Steps to configure user login:
Log in to your institution panel and set up the your course. Once the course is setup, you can head towards "SETTINGS" to put up the restriction.
Visit your Dashboard, scroll down and select "SETTINGS".
In the landing page, select "Configs" placed towards the top right.
Under "Security", you will find "Device Limit for User Login". Through this option, you can put in individual as well as the combined restriction on web & app login per user.
Device Limit for User Login
Combined (Web+App)In this option you can put in the combined login limit for both Web as well as App for the learners.
Maximum Number of Devices for User Login: Under this option fill in the maximum number of devices from which your learners can log in using their individual credentials. Please note that if you set the number to "0", it would mean the learners can access your courses through an unlimited number of devices.
Example: If you set the limit to "2", the individual learners would be able to log in from maximum two places, combining your website & institutes' mobile app.
Web and App Separately: In this option, you can put in the separate login limit on both Websites as well as institutes' mobile App.
WEB: Maximum Number of Devices for Web Login
Under this option fill in the maximum number of web browsers from which your learners can login into your website using their individual credentials.
APPS: Maximum Number of Devices for App Login
Under this option fill in the maximum number of App login per user.
Please note that if you set the above number to "0", it would mean the learners can access your courses through an unlimited number of web browsers and/or apps.
Example: If you set the WEB limit to "2", & the "App" limit to "0", then the individual learners would be able to login to your website from maximum two web browsers & to your app from an unlimited number of devices.
Mark all Posts as hidden
Once you, as an admin posts something on the platform, you can mark them "hidden", in order to post it privately. By marking it "Yes" all the posts will be by default hidden.
Downloads Allowed Per Course
In order to avoid giving authority to users to download the course from many devices, you can restrict the downloads to only the limited number of devices. The best practice is to restrict this to one device.
Minimum Characters limit in discussion
While starting a new Course Wise discussion, you can control the minimum number of characters learners should enter to make a new post. It will help in filtering out irrelevant posts like “hi”, “hello”.
Maximum Number of Days without being online
If a learner doesn't come online on your course platform, you can seize its access. You can put in "0" if you don't want to put a restriction here.
Once you upload any video lecture to the Spayee platform, it takes a little while to process it. The processing includes video encoding & video encryption. Video Encoding converts your uploaded digital video files to one standard digital video format that Spayee supports.
Learners can view those videos in three qualities. Under "Video Bitrate", you need to determine the amount of data processed per second (kbps) when learners view the video lectures within the platform.
The standard rate is pre-filled in all three quality videos. You can increase them as per your preference.
After the above changes, scroll down and click on "Save" to save it.
